۞ God says: 'Take not to you two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me.' 51 Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him, and His the judgement for ever. So will you fear any other than God? 52 And whatever blessings you have, are all from Allah – then whenever misfortune reaches you, towards Him only do you seek refuge. 53 When He removes your affliction then some of you set up associates to their Lord 54 So that they be ungrateful for what We have given them; then enjoy yourselves; for soon will you know 55 And they assign a portion of that which We have provided them unto what they know not (false deities). By Allah, you shall certainly be questioned about (all) that you used to fabricate. 56 And they attribute to Allah daughters - exalted is He - and for them is what they desire. 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 avoiding all people because of the [alleged] evil of the glad tiding which he has received, [and debating within himself:] Shall he keep this [child] despite the contempt [which he feels for it] - or shall he bury it in the dust? Old, evil indeed is whatever they decide! 59 The semblance of those who believe not in the life to come is that of the meanest; but the semblance of God is the most sublime, for He is all-mighty and all-wise. 60
