AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 We have spread out the earth, how well We have spread it out, 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 And remind; the Reminder profits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. 57 Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. 58 So verily unto those who do wrong there is a portion like unto the portion of their fellows; wherefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
