Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 We glorify God." 166 What, would they then say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
