Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 to support me. 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
