Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
God will bring to naught all the good deeds of those who are bent on denying the truth and bar [others] from the path of God. 1 whereas those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds, and have come to believe in what has been bestowed from on high on Muhammad - for it is the truth from their Sustainer - [shall attain to God's grace:] He will efface their [past] bad deeds, and will set their hearts at rest. 2 This is because the disbelievers followed falsehood and the believers followed the Truth which is from their Lord; this is how Allah illustrates the examples of people to them. 3 If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. 4 Anon He shall guide them, and shall make good their state. 5 and will admit them to the paradise which He has promised them. 6 O People who Believe! If you help the religion of Allah, He will help you and will stabilise you. 7 And for those who disbelieve – may they be ruined, and may Allah destroy all their deeds! 8 That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; so He let their works go to waste. 9 ۞ Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah. 10 God is the guardian of the believers, but the disbelievers have no guardian. 11
