Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
