The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
