And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 He answered: 'You are among those reprieved 37 until the day of a known time." 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 except for Your chosen servants." 40 Said He: "This is, with Me, a straight way: 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44
