Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember you often. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
