Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
