We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
