The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 The Companions of the Right 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And extended shade, 30 and gushing water, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 And made them virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
