▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
