Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
