The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 to their promise, 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
