The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
