I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 125 Have fear of God and obey me. 126 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 127 Build ye on every eminence a landmark in vanity? 128 And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. 129 When you attack, you attack as tyrants do. 130 So fear Allah and obey me. 131 Have fear of the One who has bestowed upon you all that you know. 132 Provided you with grazing livestock and children 133 gardens and fountains. 134 "Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Great Day." 135 [But] they answered. "It is all one to us whether thou preachest [something new] or art not of those who [like to] preach. 136 "This is no other than the false-tales and religion of the ancients, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 19, Page 97] 137 and we are not going to be chastised [for adhering to it]!" 138 And they denied him; therefor We destroyed them.
