Al-Naml 6 of 7
And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say to them (O Muhammad SAW) "Travel in the land and see how has been the end of the criminals (those who denied Allah's Messengers and disobeyed Allah)." 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 Surely this Qur'an explains to the Children of Israel most of the matters concerning which they have disagreements 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 You cannot make the dead listen and the deaf are unable to hear calls. Thus, they turn back on their heels. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
