3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
