Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
