The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He who has revealed the criterion [the Quran] to His servant that he may warn the nations. 1 He to whom the dominion over the heavens and the earth belongs, and who begets no offspring, and has no partner in His dominion: for it is He who creates every thing and determines its nature in accordance with [His own] design. 2 But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection. 3 Those who disbelieve say: "This (the Quran) is nothing but a lie that he (Muhammad SAW) has invented, and others have helped him at it, so that they have produced an unjust wrong (thing) and a lie." 4 They say, "It is just fables of the ancients, which he has had written down. They are dictated to him morning and evening." 5 Say: 'It was sent down by Him who knows the secrets of heavens and earth. He is Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 6 They say, "What sort of a Messenger is he that he eats food and moves about in the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to accompany him and threaten (the disbelievers)? 7 "Or (why) has not a treasure been granted to him, or why has he not a garden whereof he may eat?" And the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: "You follow none but a man bewitched." 8 See how they coin similitudes for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path. 9
