Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 They used to say before: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
