Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, 26 So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? 27 (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, 36 and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. 37 And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, 38 but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' 39 So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 And neither stand up nor defend themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. 46
