I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
