Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About their deeds. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
