And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
