Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It is nothing but a reminder unto all beings, 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
