Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
