No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
