The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
