Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
