Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
