The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
