Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
