And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
