We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 So verily unto those who do wrong there is a portion like unto the portion of their fellows; wherefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. 60
