The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 and produce sparks 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
