The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 Who determines and directs, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
