The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
