۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 Are we not then to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
