The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
