We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 “Allah Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
