Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
