Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
