3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
