The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
