Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
