Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
