The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
