Al-Qalam 2 of 2
The pious ones will receive a beautiful Paradise from their Lord. 34 What! Shall We treat those who have submitted (to Our command) like those who have acted as criminals? 35 What is amiss with you? On what do you base your judgment [of right and wrong]? 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 Surely therein you shall have whatever you choose! 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them: "Which of you is able to vouch for this?" 40 Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful 41 The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able, 42 Their eyes will be humbled, and humiliation shall spread over them for they were already ordered to prostrate themselves when they were undiminished. 43 So leave Me and him who rejects this announcement; We will overtake them by degrees, from whence they perceive not: 44 Yet I bear with them, for lo! My scheme is firm. 45 Do you demand some recompense from them that would weigh them down with debt? 46 Or that the Unseen is in their hands, so that they can write it down? 47 Be patient thou, then, with thy Lord's judgment, and be thou not like him of the fish, when he cried out while he was in anguish. 48 Were it not that favor from his Lord had overtaken him, he would certainly have been cast down upon the naked Found while he was blamed. 49 Then his Lord chose him, and He made him of the good. 50 When the unbelievers hear this Exhortation, they look at you as though they would knock you off your feet with their (hostile) glances. They say: “Surely he is afflicted with madness”; 51 But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. 52

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
